Architecture for Humanity is a nonprofit design services firm building a more sustainable future through the power of professional design.

By tapping a network of more than 50,000 professionals willing to lend time and expertise to help those who would not otherwise be able to afford their services, they bring design, construction and development services where they are most critically needed.

Each year 25,000 people directly benefit from structures designed by Architecture for Humanity. Their advocacy, training and outreach programs impact an additional 60,000 people annually.

Buckminster Fuller Institute

D-Rev is a non-profit technology incubator whose mission is to improve the health and incomes of people living on less than $4 per day. 4 BILLION PEOPLE around the world lack access to basic goods and services that enable them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. The mission is to create a design revolution by enlisting the best designers in the world to develop products and ideas that will benefit the 90% of the people on Earth who are poor, in order to help them earn their way out of poverty.

Out Of Poverty - Paul Polak

Out of Poverty by Paul Polak - is a book that is inspiring a design movement. 90 percent of the world's designers focus on solutions for the richest 10 percent of the world's customers rather than the other 90 percent who need it most. Out of Poverty Polak tells fascinating and moving stories about the people he has helped, especially Krishna Bahadur Thapa, a Nepali farmer who went from barely surviving to earning $4,800 a year; solidly upper middle class by local standards. Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide to improve their quality of life. This partnership involves implementing sustainable engineering projects while involving and training internationally responsible engineers and engineering students.

D.light design is a social enterprise that was founded with a mission to replace unhealthy, dangerous and poor quality kerosene lanterns in the developing world with clean, safe and bright solar-powered lanterns
